Line Up:

TRED BENEDICT [ Spilt Milk / Don’t Techno Sh!t ]

Tred is a modern example of the rising talent emerging from the London underground music scene. His love affair with vinyl started in 1999 and since then his sound has taken many shapes and forms but has always had the fundamentals of electronica at the core. Being a huge fan of innovation he is always pushing a forward thinking perspective into the shape and sound of his DJ sets and is never restricted by musical boundaries; because of this passion, he has played at some of the most highly regarded events and venues in the UK and pushing out across Europe playing alongside some of the most sought after and respected names in the industry such as Sven Vath, Dubfire, Sascha Dive, Minilouge, Gregor Tresher, Marc Romboy, Nina Kraviz, Konrad Black, Lee Burridge, Troy Pierce, Alexi Delano, Alex Under, Christian Burkhardt, Daniel Dreier, Lauhaus, Marco Resmann, Mark Henning, Arnaud Le Texier, Format B, Cesare Vs Disorder, Joy Orbison, Maya Jane Coles and the list goes on…………………..

Not only is he known for his presence behind the decks, he is also responsible for 2 London based promotions: firstly “Don’t Techno Sh!t”, a quirky anything goes party formed in 2008 which had an ever topical brand image outside of the norm. With an underground soundtrack at the forefront, Don’t Techno Sh!t has showcased some of the most cutting edge minimal techno and carefully selected guest DJ’s that have since moved up the ranks to established artists. In more recent times, it has been the critically acclaimed daytime terrace party “Spilt Milk” that has caused quite a stir in the underground realms of east London. Earning itself the right as one of the most talked about events in London and bounding from strength to strength, it is now on the fringe of its 3rd season. Spilt Milk has gained itself a colossal following of fans through the party’s carefree spirit and its intelligent bookings that are not scared to be different. Unconcerned with following trends, Spilt Milk prides itself on showcasing quality headlining acts such as Tiefschwarz, Layo & Bushwacka!, Stacey Pullen, Kabale Und Liebe, Stimming, Guido Schnieder, Mr.C, DJ W!ld, Matt Tolfrey, Marc Ashken, Little Fritter as well as pushing through the up and coming new blood to the industry. As a result of its attention to detail, the event has inevitably gained respect, and is being tipped for a very bright future within the underground circles. With the party already having had an “Off Sonar” presence in Barcelona for the last 3 years, look out for Spilt Milk emerging in different cities throughout Europe.

Make no mistake Tred Benedict is no amateur when it comes to playing records, the only asset missing from this one’s arsenal is his productions which he will be unleashing in 2012.
